Please Read! There is no such thing as a free lunch!  We thought there was! In order for us to host this web page, we need to pay for hosting fees, web design fees and administrative fees, etc.   Please, we are just asking for a minimal donation of $10 or more.  We are getting desperate because of all the costs of publishing this and other pages. In the past we have used all volunteer workers. That seems to be going away.  In return for your donation, ask any question about this page and someone will send you everything you want to know.

Adolph Coors's office stated that his position is that Adolph is a born again Christian and isn't interested in fake religions.  What is a real religion, Mr. Coors?  What you have been practicing?  Read the following and remember: "By their Works may they be known."  This is a summary of information collected from several sources about Adolph Coors.

(Remember it is best to investigate on your own when looking at allegations about anyone.     Don't believe us, think for yourself and investigate for yourself!  And remember, the First Amendment Coalition does not represent any political party nor do we recommend any political candidate, nor are we involving ourselves in the political process.  This information is only for students of Adolph Coors )

Adolph Coors IV has had it all: money, family, success, and as much security as this world affords. After all, the Coors name is recognized worldwide as the largest single brewery in the world. His great-grandfather founded the brewery in 1873 and has kept it in the family through four generations.

"I could walk into any cocktail party I wanted and mingle with hundreds of people," Mr. Coors said. "I could play a round of golf at any golf course in the world. I could buy anything I wanted whenever I wanted.  But inside this man's heart was a void that was getting bigger by the minute.

As a result of book and dinner conversation, followed soon after by a luncheon where he heard a speaker explain similar ideas, Mr. Coors became a born again Christian.

"God has given me a real chance to use my name to help business men and women experience what they long for deep down inside," Mr. Coors says, "and I hope to keep doing it as long as I can."

The problem is that Mr. Coors can't accept that there may be other pathways to god and he supports movements and causes that use coercion and intimidation to push Christianity on other people, as the ONLY answer.

Mr. Coors is a staunch supporter of the Christian Coalition and his donations have been funneled to candidates and political action committees which are in opposition to freedom of expression and freedom of religion.

For example: Many Christians were shocked and saddened by the published statement of Pat Robertson that among his biggest contributors are Joseph and Holly Coors, beer brewing tycoons.

When asked at the Religious Newswriters Association (after addressing them, in Atlanta), what he thought about the morality of the sale or consumption of alcoholic beverages, Robertson replied, "I cannot afford to say anything about that."

Then, the Christian television executive gave the reason why: "Joseph and Holly Coors of the Golden (Colorado) family, are among my strongest supporters. They are very beautiful people and very dear friends – so I cannot afford to say anything about that."

It is a dark day in America when the Hypocrisy and Dollar Signs neutralizes and destroys the influence of religious leaders.  It is no wonder that their are so many Christian Alcoholics (Source of information -  The National Statesman Magazine).

According to several news groups the Coors family supports the Coors Foundation which donates funds to many political, social, and educational organizations. Many of these organizations are considered by many people to be right-wing and radical Christian conservative organizations (and some have accused the family of having Nazi connections.

In the 1920's KKK held their cross burnings on property adjoining Coors property. In the 50's Coors family funded the John Birch Society.

In 1966 Chicanos called for the boycott of Coors beer because of racist hiring practices. In 1969 Coors was charged with racial discrimination. In 1970 Coors was found guilty. Not until 1977 was Coors finally forced to settle out of court and had to pay thousands of dollars and rehire several workers.

From 1967 to 1972 Joseph Coors was a regent at the University of Colorado where he opposed the existence of campus groups such as UMAS (United Mexican American Students), BSU (Black Student Union), and SDS (Students for a Democratic Society). He was always known for distributing John Birch Society literature to fellow regents. He was quoted as saying the University should strive for quality students and not quantity.

In 1971 Joe Coors along with Jack Wilson and Paul Weyrich founded Analysis and Research Inc., to establish a political research entity. After $200,000 of Coors money and two years the group failed to attract supporters. Eventually Coors and Weyrich started a committee for the Survival of a Free Congress to carry out political activities.  They also founded the Heritage Foundation as a tax exempt educational research entity. Joe Koors coughed up $200,000. Paul Weyrich was the president.  Weyrich had ties to Josef Strauss of Bavaria Germany who was active in a political party that coalesced with repentant Nazi's after World War II.

Strauss came to the United States in the early 1970's.  Weyrich and Strauss' aid by the name of Armin K. Haas planned Strauss' schedule. Joe Coors helped Haas make political contacts in Congress.

In 1974 the Heritage foundation sent an advisor to help Kanawha County school, a text book protest movement. This political movement was portrayed as a parent rights case but the Klu Klux Klan was involved. The books that they wanted to ban, were books on African-American authors or texts that dealt with the culture of African Americans.

Through their philanthropic donations, Joseph Coors and other family members have bankrolled a right-wing agenda of union-busting, homophobia, sexism, racism, and covert operations. The Coors family has served as the cornerstone of the right-wing movement known as the New Right.  For further details, read "Coors Connection: How Coors Family Philanthropy Undermines Democratic Pluralism" by Russ Bellant (ISBN: 0896084175)

After years of boycotting this racist, sexist, and homophobic company on a national level, National Council of La Raza (NCLR) helped broker an agreement to put an end to the boycott. It was signed by the directors of the GI Forum, NCLR and League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC). The agreement called for Coors to provide sponsorship money to these organizations and help Chicanos become distributorship owners, i.e. Tom Flores in CA, for which these organizations agreed to increase Coors "market share" of Latino drinkers. That means the promotion of drinking Coors beer in Latin communities.

Now folks, I have nothing against Beer, in fact at certain times of the year, I have been known to drink a lot of it.  BUT, I also choose products I buy, based on the manufacturers social philosophy.  The Coors social philosophy is ultra far right and is very scary.  Some people would almost describe it a Nazi like.

Today, Coors can be found giving money to foundations and organizations in an effort to promote a positive image for the company. The truth is that Coors only puts on this mask of kindness in order to make money while poisoning the minds, bodies, and spirits of Christians and Pagans alike.
