Extremist (Tea Party) Republicans are selfish, power hungry, hateful of the poor, disloyal to the nation and its people, dishonest, avaricious, scornful of the nation's history, the dignity of its institutions, its standards of political morality, and its vision of advancement for all the people. The Republicans love war as long as they and theirs do not have to put on helmets and carry guns into the fighting. They use lies to start wars that kill hundreds of thousands of innocents and thousands of our own military service people. They love massive war-time profits, unavailable to their rich masters if war is absent.

Those Extremist Republicans hate the rest of us, which they must, in order to pass away from themselves and onto us, the financial burdens and losses their crimes, schemes and thefts cause. They are prolific, incessant, and destructive liars. They are blasphemers for they insist that their hateful and destructive deeds are the work of God. They are apostates for they gleefully attack the poor, the immigrants, the old and the sick, of whom God has commanded all of us to be mindful.

There is no reasoning with them, for all their logic is built on false premises. There is no appealing to them for honor's sake for they have lost all sense of shame and have no honor, there is no appealing to them for the nation's sake for that is what they hate the most.

Extremist (Tea Party) Republicans are the enemy.

We will leave it up to the reader to determine whether Doug Lamborn has made serious errors in in judgment.  Although Doug has supported a Fundamentalist Conservative Christian position especially when it comes to Church and State issues, it is apparent from the data collected, that his ethics are not of the best kind, and the first amendment may be in danger from his past and future actions.

We called Doug Lamborn's office.  A representative of his office when asked about Mr. Lamborn's position on other religions beside Christianity, stated, "Those that practice other religions are following Satan.   Those religions aren't real."  What is a real religion, Mr. Lamborn?  What you have been practicing?  Read the following and remember: "By their Works may they be known."  This is a summary of information collected from several sources about Doug Lamborn.

Rep. Lamborn Apologizes to Obama over 'Tar Baby' Reference

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — U.S. Rep. Doug Lamborn sent an apology to the White House Monday concerning a comment he made Friday during an interview with a Denver radio station.

The Colorado Republican said during the interview about Obama's budget policies that being linked to President Barack Obama would be "like touching a tar baby."

"I don't even want to have to be associated with him. It's like touching a tar baby, and you get it - you know, you're stuck, and you're part of the problem now, and you can't get away," Lamborn said. "I don't want that to happen to us (Republicans), but if it does, or not, he'll still get - properly so - the blame, because his policies, for four years, will have failed the American people."

Though "tar baby" is defined in Merriam-Webster's dictionary as "something from which it is nearly impossible to extricate oneself," it has also long been recognized as a derogatory term for blacks.

Regardless of definition, Lamborn is taking serious heat from several angles. Two local black community leaders immediately condemned the congressman's comments, and said he should know better.

Rosemary Harris Lytle, president of the Colorado Springs chapter of the NAACP, said the connotations of the phrase "tar baby" are too well-known to make Lamborn's use of it excusable.

"The world already views (El Paso County) as ultra conservative, ultra right wing, Tea-Party-loving, gay bashing, an epicenter of hate. With two vitriolic words, our own Congressman again sealed our fate," Harris Lytle said.

Diane Allen-Philips, president of the Urban League of the Pikes Peak Region, said the congressman should be more conscious of the type of example he's setting.

"I don't think you can just toss that phrase out and not have it associated with the past," said Allen-Philips. "If Barack Obama was not African American, would he have used the same terminology?"

In an email, Lamborn spokeswoman Catherine Mortensen wrote, "Congressman Lamborn regrets any misunderstanding. He simply meant to refer to a sticky situation or quagmire."

Mortensen said neither Lamborn's district nor Washington, D.C. offices had received any complaint about the "tar baby" comment until Denver radio show host David Sirota aired the interview clip Monday morning on KKZN 760 AM.

Monday evening, Lamborn's office sent a news release saying he had "sent a personal letter to President Barack Obama apologizing for using a term some find insensitive." The release said Lamborn is "confident that the President will accept his heartfelt apology."

Earlier in the day, El Paso County Democratic Party Chair Kathleen Ricker called for just such an apology, saying the congressman's statement was not enough.

"I am ashamed to call Doug Lamborn the federal representative for my community," said Ricker. "For all that we try to do to convince the nation that our community is not a backwards, hateful, area, this foolish man speaks before thinking because hebelieves that politically he is invincible and invulnerable."

Ricker's comments were immediately dismissed as "cheap political shots" by Eli Bremer, chair of the El Paso County Republican Party. Bremer said Lamborn's statement was being taken out of context, and was not at all intended as a reference to Obama's skin color.

"It's disgraceful that anyone would try and insinuate that he was being racist," said Bremer. "I think there are people out there who believe it is a racist term, but what's important is not how people construe it but how it's intended. It's really unfair to take something completely out of context and try to politically destroy them because of it."

Lamborn isn't the only politician to ever land in hot water by using those two words. Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney was lambasted in 2006 for using the phrase in reference to a construction project, and U.S. Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., had to apologize in 2007, during his presidential run, for using it in reference to divorces.

The interview took place on the Caplis and Silverman radio show in Denver, on KHOW 630 AM.

Just hours after supporters of the liberal group Moveon.org crammed into U.S. Rep. Doug Lamborn’s district office Tuesday to protest his use of “tar baby” on a Denver radio show last week, Lamborn made a return appearance on the same show to defend himself.

Tuesday morning, Lamborn district office manager Daniel Nordberg fielded questions from 20 angry protesters, several of whom blasted the congressman and said he needs to be “educated” on civil rights and race relations. “Tar baby” a character in the nineteenth-century Uncle Remus stories about Bre’er Rabbit and Bre’er Fox, and has long been considered a racial slur against African Americans.

“He has to be an idiot, to use a word like that,” one man yelled.

A woman said their new nickname for the congressman is “Representative Lame-brain.”

Another woman said pointedly to Nordberg, “I would like to see him go into a black community, dressed as a black man, with blackface on, and live for a month, so he can understand a different point of view.”

When Nordberg told the group Lamborn had already issued a statement apologizing for his remarks, several in the crowd said they didn’t believe him.

“Let’s throw him in the briar patch!” one man yelled, to the amusement of the crowd.

Lamborn late Monday sent a letter of apology to Obama. The White House has not commented on the issue.

Later in the day, Lamborn told Denver radio show host Craig Silverman and his guest host Bob Beauprez that he wasn’t aware “tar baby” was a racial slur.

“I’ve never heard that term used derogatorily,” Lamborn said on the show. “Maybe the guy who started this, he’s been around racists a lot and had a deprived upbringing.”

Though Lamborn admitted using the term was “clumsy,” he insisted his comments were misinterpreted. Rather, he said he was criticizing Obama’s economic policies, and had used “tar baby” as a simile to explain that Republicans don’t want to risk being found guilty by association by aligning themselves with the president.

“A lot of people have overreacted or are trying to stir things up,” he said. “If there’s reasonable people, they’ll know this was totally unintentional on my part.”

Lamborn added that he admires the president “personally,” and what he’s accomplished for race relations in America.

“We’re all made in the image of God, and all of us are deserving of the same respect. That’s how I try to live my life,” said Lamborn.

Either way, the congressman now has an official Democratic opponent for next year’s election. And he’s black.

Bob Evans, a part-time history professor at Colorado College, showed up to the rally, protest sign in hand. He said Lamborn’s use of “tar baby” is “absolutely inexcusable.”

“This is not who we want to represent us. This is not the real El Paso County,” Evans said of Lamborn.

Colorado Springs local couple complaining that U.S. Rep. Doug Lamborn left two threatening voice mails after they wrote a letter criticizing his fundraising.

Jonathan Bartha and Anna Bartha told The Denver Post that Lamborn said there would be "consequences" if they did not withdraw their letter.

"We felt very threatened and intimidated, and quite frankly, scared," Anna Bartha said. "It was just not anything we would ever anticipate an elected official would pursue or a way that an elected official would conduct himself."

The Post reported that when asked whether his messages were threatening, Lamborn said: "No, that is ridiculous. My hope, I failed, but I had hoped to meet with them privately and confidentially because lying is a serious matter."

Asked what he meant by consequences, Lamborn said: "When someone tells a lie, it just has bad consequences."

No comment was available from the couple Sunday. A person who answered the phone listed in their name said they did not live there.

There was no immediate response to a message left at Lamborn's Washington office.

The Barthas' letter to The Woodmen Edition criticized Lamborn for accepting $1,500 in campaign contributions from the gambling industry. Federal records confirm the donations were accepted, but Lamborn said he returned them. He did not say when, and The Post said there is no federal record of them being returned.

Lamborn's voice mails urged the couple as "brothers and sisters in Christ" and implored them to call him back to discuss their "blatantly false" letter.

Jonathan Bartha is employed by Focus on the Family. His wife, a board member of Falcon School District 49, worked for two months as a scheduler for candidate Jeff Crank during a bitter, six-way Republican primary race for the 5th Congressional District seat.

Lamborn has written an open letter to the chairman of the GOP in El Paso County, Greg Garcia, asking him to investigate the letter.

Text Of Jonathan And Ann Bartha's Letter, Which Appeared In The Woodmen Edition, August 24, 2010:

Editor,

We are conservative Republicans and believe in the individual freedoms granted to us by our Founding Fathers. However, there are moral limits that caring individuals can embrace without sacrificing the value of personal fiscal responsibility.

Recently, we have discovered that earlier this year 5th District Congressman Doug Lamborn accepted a $1,000 campaign contribution from International Game Technology PAC. IGT is one of the largest manufacturers of gambling equipment in the world. Last summer, Congressman Lamborn also accepted a $500 campaign contribution from the operator of Bronco Billy's casino of Cripple Creek.

As a congressman who ran of a platform of fiscal responsibility and traditional family values, we're hard pressed to understand why he has accepted money from an industry that tears at the social fabric of our country.

Congressman Lamborn also showed a lack of discretion earlier this legislative session when he voted against Sen. Wayne Allard's (R-Colo.) bill to stiffen penalties against the practice of dog fighting. (He was the only member of the Colorado delegation to do so.) This bill passed by an overwhelming margin and has been signed into law by President Bush.
