Witchcraft
has existed in most of the world from the beginning of time immemorial as an outgrowth of
humanities' first religion, shamanism. The word "Witchcraft" has been around for
several hundred years, and it is commonly translated as meaning "the craft of the
wise." This is based not on the actual meaning of the word, but on the modern
translation of it. It seems much more likely that the real meaning of the word in its
original usage was "the craft of bending/twisting/using psychic power."
