WHAT BOOKS WILL HELP ME UNDERSTAND WITCHCRAFT AND WICCA?Welcome to our recommended reading list and bookstore! We have
read the books listed below and believe they have information that will further your
knowledge and capabilities in learning the practice of Witchcraft and the Pagan religion.
We plan to add to this list on a regular basis. Remember, in dealing with books on
magick and other ritual practices, there are often traps and unethical practices put
forward. The following are some guidelines for you to apply when trying to judge the
authenticity of the author's statements, and/or the consequences of perhaps using material
found within. The occult is like any other field - you find the crap alongside the gems...
We have also divided the list of books into several sections including Advanced Craft and Reference Craft texts, as well as Specific Authors such as Christopher Penzak, Gerald Gardner, Doreen Valiente, Margaret Murray, Ray Buckland, Alex Sanders, Vivianne Crowley, Janet and Stewart Farrar, Ronald Hutton, Yvonne Aburrow, Kate West and others; and specialized books on Druidry, Astrology, Survival, Tarot and Palmistry. This will help those who are just beginning the pathway as well as provide a more in-depth education for those who are more well informed. If your local bookstore does not carry a particular title, or cannot locate it for you, try the public library.
