Christian Coalition and Pat Robertson

A Closer Look at How the Christian Coalition Measures up to their Own Bible or how Pat Robertson and the Christian Anti-Christ allegedly are one and the same.

1. A number of legislative scorecards and voter guides produced and distributed by the various state Christian Coalition organizations have contained factual errors and outright lies. Citizens have complained of inaccuracies in many state scorecards for years. Not once is the Bible quoted in any of the scorecards to justify their rating of a candidate.

We will help them: "They make ready their tongue like a bow, to shoot lies; it is not by truth that they triumph in the land." Jeremiah 9:3

2. The Christian Coalition has been accused on numerous occasions of - and has even admitted to engaging in, deceptive "stealth-like" practices common to unethical political campaigns. Some of their meetings have been held in secret.

Biblical Quote: "Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God." II Corinthians 4:2

3. A Christian Coalition group promoted a Prayer Breakfast and was charged $25 per person or $40 per couple to attend. This event advertised only Republican speakers and coincided with the State Republican Convention. It was scheduled to be held in a Church.

Biblical Quote: "Then he [Jesus] entered the temple and began driving out those who were selling. ‘It is written,’ he said to them, ‘My house will be a house of prayer for all peoples,
but you have made it a den of robbers.’" Luke 19:45-46

4. After Susan Smith murdered her two children in Union, South Carolina, then House Speaker Newt Gingrich referred to our "sick society." He further declared "the only way you get change is to vote Republican."

We all know Mr. Gingrich's record of Adultry, Infidelity, Perjury and other unethical practices for which he was fined by the U.S. House of representatives.

Later it was discovered Mrs. Smith was molested as a teen-ager by her step-father, Bev
Russell, a noted state Republican leader. Their sexual encounters continued even when
Russell became county chairman of the Christian Coalition.

5. In 1995 the Christian Coalition joined together with the National Beer Wholesalers on a
measure that would restrict lobbying by non-profit groups such as Mother’s Against Drunk
Driving (MADD). Reports indicate Regent University, founded by Christian Coalition President Pat Robertson, received funding from Coors beer through the Coors Foundation.

6. In 1992, Robertson’s Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN, with yearly revenues
estimated at $237 million) resigned from the Better Business Bureau. It has also refused to
join the respected Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability.

7. Pat Robertson in 1986 sued former Congressman Pete McCloskey for $35 million. The
suit was later dismissed 'with prejudice' giving McCloskey legal victory. In addition,
Robertson was ordered to pay $28,000 of McCloskey’s court costs.

Biblical Quote: "The very fact you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely defeated already." I Corinthians 6:7

8. McCloskey, a highly-decorated Marine, had claimed that Robertson, who he described as
an "absolute fraud," had avoided combat duty in Korea. McCloskey stated Robertson’s
father, a US Senator from Virginia, had his son sent to Japan while the rest of his unit went
on to see extensive combat action. McCloskey himself was severely wounded and several
of his buddies were killed.

Robertson claimed in his presidential campaign he saw "combat duty" in Korea, but was
later forced to drop that phrase from his biography after it was learned he never faced
enemy fire, but instead alledgedly served as "division liquor officer." Another Marine, in a
sworn deposition, indicated Robertson "messed around with prostitutes."

It was also discovered Robertson lied about his wedding date. He later admitted his first son
had been born out of wedlock.

Wow Pat!!! You've been sort of "Playing with Fire", haven't you?!!

Pat Robertson and his Christian Coalition have Failed to Pass the critical test of compliance with the Word of God as proved by Christian Scripture.

The Christian Coalition has: Distorted the Truth, Broken Two of the Bible’s Ten Commandments, Deliberately Damaged the Christian Testimonies of Respected State Officials, Attempted to Force Partisan Politics into the Nations Churches, Promoted a Shameful Pay-to-Pray Political Fund-Raiser to be Held in a Church, and Worked Extremely Hard to Make the United States a Safer Place for Hypocrisy and Sexual Molesters.

To again quote from The Christian Bible: "You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God." Exodus 20:7

"You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor." Exodus 20:16

"DO NOT BE DECEIVED! GOD IS NOT MOCKED. WHATSOEVER A MAN SOWS, THAT SHALL HE ALSO REAP."

OR MORE SIMPLY:

"WHAT COMES AROUND GOES AROUND" OR "AND YEA HARM NONE, DO AS YOU WILL!!! We have a feeling that Pat Robertson will soon reap what he has sown, and it's too bad because like all public figures, Pat could have had a unifying and positive effect on our nations Freedom of Religion, helping all peoples to understand each other. Instead he chose the way of his Anti-Christ - using religious doctrine to fleece it's sheep.
