We will leave it up to the reader to determine whether Jessie Helms has made serious errors in in judgment. Jessie has supported a Conservative Far Right Christian position especially when it comes to Church and State issues. It is apparent from the data collected, that the first amendment may be in danger from his past and future actions.

Jessie's office stated that his position is that Certain Religions aren't "Real" religions. What is a real religion, Mr. Helms? What you have been practicing? He says on the one hand that only certain Christian denominations are valid. Read the following and remember: "By their Works may they be known." Ralph Reed says, "I've always worked for what we believe in."

Really? Reed lobbied for convicted felon Jack Abramoff’s casino clients. He even lobbied against legislation that would have prevented sweatshop owners on the Northern Mariana Islands from mistreating their female workers.

The investigative report by the U.S. Department of Interior found that female workers on the islands were forced to have abortions and to enter into prostitution. Even though it was known what the sweatshop owners were doing, he worked with convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff to protect them.

What Ralph Reed did was morally wrong, and he knows it. And he remains unrepentant. Ralph Reed is trying to spin the facts, dodge the truth and blame someone else. But the fact is: Ralph Reed had to know about the sweatshop owners’ despicable record and he lobbied for them anyway. That's not what we believe in!
