Welcome seeker. This is the Cymry Witchcraft Home page. Y Dynion Mwyn is a Georgia, USA based cenedl (Which means "Kind") in direct lineage to our parent cenedl of Dynion Mwyn, located in North Wales. Family records indicate Dynion Mwyn was established in Wales in 1282 C.E. and in the United States in 1966 (see History of Y Dynion Mwyn ) To us cenedl means a type of Grove or Coven of a Welsh Tradition of Witchcraft - (English word), Gwyddon (Welsh word) or Wiccae (Middle English word). We ARE NOT Wiccan. (see Wicca) Our cenedl's focus is on the teaching of Traditional Welsh Witchcraft, Natural Magick, Welsh Herbcraft, and ancient Welsh/Celtic mysteries with a healthy dose of information from other sources as well. But you may find that some of the philosophy and teachings found on some of these pages will also correspond to Wiccan philosophy. That is because universal teachings know no boundaries. You will find that a large portion of this web site is in English. Why? Because 90% of the surfers who reach our homepage read, write and speak English. We refuse to be politically correct and only use Welsh. Those who are interested in a Welsh Witchcraft only site will have to search one out. My suggestion is to search on the words Gwyddon and Welsh Witchcraft. Or go to our Welsh Language section at http://www.dynionmwyn.com/wales/wintro.html and learn other words. You will also find that we used very little Java or Frames in building our pages. This was a conscious decision on our part. Which means we won't be as pretty as other Pagan sites, and we won't win as many awards, but we'll be a LOT faster. This site was designed to provide a great quantity of information to as many people as possible, as quickly as possible. This web page is dedicated to the thousands of seekers who are looking for TRUE answers to those age old questions: Why am I here? What is the meaning of Life? Is there a god (or Goddess)? Where am I going? and What is Real Witchcraft? Almost everyone has asked these questions from time to time. It is the nature of humanity to be curious. Many thousands of books have been written over the years that have tried to address these questions with only limited success. We will now try to answer these questions from a perspective of a Welsh Witchcraft philosophy. What was the Old Religion like in Wales in the 12th and 13th centuries before the Inquisition really took hold on Europe? By the Welsh Offieriades (similar to Priest), the old religion was called Gwyddoniad or Gwyddon and later Dewianeath Cymry. By the English Invaders it was called Witchcraft or Wizardry or Druidism. By the corrupt priests of "The Church", it was called Devil or Satan Worship. By the common person who lived in the hut down the hill, it didn't have a name. It was simply called "The Religion," or "Giving Homage to the Old Ones", or "Doing Stone Magick". They had no concept of a Religious Hierarchy used by Christian Sects such as Catholicism , or different Denominations. There was no Dogma. They didn't have various complex "rules" to follow as they worshipped the old gods. They had a place that you went to when you died (Defroboni or Summerland ) and they believed in a form of reincarnation and sometimes transmigration. There was no hellfire and damnation. But there was a sense of right and wrong, and that retribution for the wrongs you committed, as well as rewards for the good you had done, would follow you into the next life. Before you read further, you might want to explore certain pages of our site and explore the many fascinating characteristics of Welsh Witchcraft. First, check out our General Information Site, the Principles of Belief, the page that addresses Frequently Asked Questions, and How You Can Become a Witch. Secondly, we have a Site Index Page, a Disclaimer page, a Search page, a Recommended Groups page, a Welsh Music Page of downloadable Midi files, and a Halloween Page. (Wherever you see words that are underlined, you can be sure that they are links to pages on or off this site.) We also have a variation of this web page which includes everything HERE. Next, click on our recommended Reading List, The History of Y Dynion Mwyn in America, our Dictionary, Wheel of the Year (Religious Calendar), and Coven Symbols. Fourth, we have a page which describes our tradition of Y Dynion Mwyn, a page on New Stuff, a page which describes our Coven of the Welsh Dragon in Kennesaw, Georgia, a page on Free Spiritual Counseling, and a Georgia Pagan Page. Fifth, we have a page which describes other locations of Y Dynion Mwyn Groves and Covens throughout the country, and Other Traditions of the craft if you find this one is not for you. Sixth, we have a page dedicated to Glenna McReynolds who has written three books about Y Dynion Mwyn (fiction). The coincidences between the book and our tradition are amazing, and I will leave it up to you to decide if this is meaningful for you or not. Seventh, we have an Outer Court Book of Shadows which contains everything from Spells to Philosophy. Eighth, we have pages on the Religious Right, Latest Earthquake Information Worldwide, the Latest World news, Weather and Sports; and a Newsletter. You must have an interaction with a real live teacher, who will also give you certain oral teachings. Click Here to discover the reason there are Secrets in the Craft. Tenth, you can read the draft of one on-line book available to the public. The other on-line books are only available to members.
