Please note:   Nothing on the following listed web sites is true to life and is composed mostly of ancient legends and myths.  This page contains quotes from christian web sites which present strikingly similar beliefs to those widely-held beliefs of the witch hunters during the witch craze. This page is for illustrative and comparative purposes only.

Jay Roger's page Witchcraft and Abortion draws the eroneous conclusion that some modern witches use aborted fetuses for rituals. These claims are untrue, unfounded, unproven and are blatent lies.   A sample quote from Jay's page: "There are a small segment of Wiccans who practice abortion as a form of child sacrifice to their false gods." Again, there is absolutely no proof that Wiccans practice such rituals.  Jay's beliefs are taken from witch hunt propaganda popular during the European witch craze.  There never was any proof that children were sacrificed then, nor is there any proof now.

Tammy Ritchie's Perilous Times web site attempts to "warn" Christians about the evils of paganism, witchcraft...etc...A quote from Tammy's page, which was taken from another site: "Today a growing number of people, claiming to be of direct Druid descent, still practice their religion, including human sacrifice." Again, there is absolutely no evidence that individuals ritually sacrifice human beings.  Her "evidence" of such evil acts is taken from other hostile, anti-pagan/witch sites and not from actual witch or pagan sites.

Steve Van Nattan's site Balaams Ass is preoccupied with the evils of witchcraft, wicca etc...His page titled Ode to Laurie Cabot contains the following statement "She is NOT any sort of genuine witch unless she has sacrificed animals minimum to Satan or Lucifer. That is a fact well known to the Craft, and they hate for this story to be exposed." This belief draws upon the propaganda used by the early church in an attempt to destroy the alleged witches.

On The Y.E.S for Christ page, Sherry Whitstine has posted the following:

Becoming a Witch

  • A spoken denial of the Christian faith
  • Rebaptism in the devil's name, at which a new name is given in place of the Christian one
  • Denial of godparents and assignment of new sponsors
  • Gift of a piece of clothing to the devil as a token of submission
  • Oath of allegiance to the devil made while standing in a magic circle
  • Inclusion of the initiate's name in the Book of Death, where as in Gods realm it is the Book of Life
  • A promise to sacrifice children to the devil
  • A promise to pay annual tribute to the devil, such as black-colored gifts
  • Marking the initiate with the devil's mark - a pentagram

Sherry's beliefs are the SAME beliefs as those espoused by the early demonologists and witch hunters.  Witches and Wiccans do not follow the above "ritual".  These eroneous beliefs are centuries old but are still expressed today.

LOGOS Communication Consortium has quite a few pages regarding witchcraft and the occult. on one page is the following statement:

"The lust for blood is evil. It has led to horrible crimes. Killing animals and people for their "energy" is wicked as well as criminal."

and

"While many Wicca cult members offer fruit and vegetable sacrifices to their pagan gods and goddesses, blood offerings and animal or human sacrifices are a part of historic pagan and witchcraft rites. But, it is becoming increasingly frequent in the witch community today." "Historically, human sacrifice has been associated with witchcraft."

Again, these beliefs go back to the witch hunts and the Inquisition.  You could read virtually any witch trial transcript and be shocked by the similarities!

The Game of Satan Primarily attacks role-playing games like Dungeons and Dragons and focuses on the "Satanic" aspects of these games. A quote:

"The conspiracy of international satan worshippers uses role-playing games to recruit children into cults, in which they brainwash the children, make them drug addicts, and use in child pornography and sado-masochist movies. In many cases, the children are actually tortured to death and eaten by the satan worshippers, and this horrible ritual is filmed and sold to perverts!"

Yawheh Ministries attacks Halloween and believes that human sacrifices are done on Halloween:    "While looking up Halloween in a word search on the internet I wasn’t surprised to see most of the references on witchcraft sites. It is still in practice today for those involved in witchcraft to sacrifice an animal on this night to Satan. It is commonly practiced in Europe, the Philippines and America today. The sacrifice is done by putting the victim into the flames. The seers would predict things according to how the victim moved while burning in the flames. In America there are as many as 200 arson fires on Halloween in larger cities. These are lit to glorify the prince of darkness. No doubt some throw human victims into these bonfires as that was the original sacrifice at this festival."

Unfortunately, these beliefs and unfounded accusations have been perpetuated for hundreds of years and there seems to be a new generation of witch hunters.   They are lies because the people who are perpetuating these frauds, are doing it deliberately.   In other days they would have made good Inquisitioners.

NOTE: Approximately 1,000,000+ people were killed during the middle ages by the inquisition.  The inquisitors thought they were killing Witches so the victim was tortured untl they "admitted" they were Witches.  In fact 98% of those "murdered" by the inquisition were just ordinary people who were accused because they had land someone wanted, or were attractive, or had enemies, etc.  It was very easy to be declarted a Witch.  Anyone could accuse anyone else of being a Witch, and they were usually imediately arrested and placed in prison.   Almost no real Witches were killed.  That is why the transcripts of witch trials during that period demonstrate the fantasies rampant during those times.
